Job Description
We are looking for a News Content Writer who can research, write, and publish engaging and accurate news articles for our digital news website.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in current affairs and online news, excellent English writing skills, and the ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and originality.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and write daily news articles across various categories.
* Cover trending and breaking news based on reliable sources.
* Rewrite and develop news stories into original, reader-friendly articles.
* Create SEO-friendly headlines, titles and article structures.
* Verify facts and information before publishing.
* Monitor Google, social media and other reliable sources for trending topics.
* Follow basic SEO and Google Discover-friendly writing practices.
* Upload and format articles on WordPress/CMS.
* Ensure articles are grammatically correct, informative and plagiarism-free.
* Meet daily article and publishing targets.
Preferred Skills
* Excellent English writing and grammar.
* Strong research and fact-checking skills.
* Good understanding of current affairs and digital news.
* Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Search and Google Discover.
* Ability to write quickly and work with deadlines.
* Journalism, mass media or content-writing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
