Purchase Executive

Position: Purchase Executive / Purchase Engineer

Experience: 3–5 Years

Location: Mumbai

Industry: MEP / Construction / Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling day-to-day purchase and procurement activities.

• Sourcing materials as per project requirements.

• Identifying and developing new vendors and maintaining existing vendor relationships.

• Obtaining and comparing quotations and negotiating rates, payment terms and delivery schedules.

• Preparing Comparative Statements and Purchase Orders.

• Coordinating with vendors for timely delivery of materials at project sites.

• Following up on pending orders, material shortages, and delivery schedules.

• Coordinating with Project, Stores, Accounts and Engineering teams.

• Maintaining purchase records, vendor documents, and related MIS.

• Ensuring procurement is carried out as per approved specifications, quality requirements, and commercial terms.

Preferred Skills:

• Good knowledge of Plumbing & Fire Fighting materials and suppliers.

• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.

• Good communication and follow-up skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP/software knowledge.

• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and work within deadlines.
