Retail Trainer

MUST BE FROM JEWELLERY INDUSTRY

We are seeking an experienced Retail Trainer to lead the learning and development programs across our jewellery retail stores. In this role, you will design, implement, and deliver training programs focused on luxury sales techniques, deep product knowledge (precious metals, gemstones, and hallmarking), and customer relationship management to enhance store performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Product & Expertise Training: Educate store teams on gold purity, diamond grading (4Cs), gemstones, certification, design stories, and custom order processes.
• Sales & Customer Experience Coaching: Conduct workshops on luxury selling skills, objection handling, cross-selling/up-selling, and building long-term client relationships.
• Onboarding & Induction: Facilitate onboarding programs for new Sales Associates, Store Managers, and support staff to ensure quick ramp-up time.
• Store Audits & Performance Evaluation: Regularly visit retail outlets to observe sales floor behavior, assess service quality, and deliver on-the-floor refresher training.
• Training Content Development: Create engaging training modules, reference guides, SOP manuals, and digital micro-learning content tailored to the jewellery sector.
• Operations & Compliance: Train staff on inventory handling, gold exchange policies, security protocols, billing software, and regulatory compliance (e.g., BIS Hallmarking).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Graduate in any discipline; degrees in Gemology (e.g., GIA/IGI certification) or Retail Management are a strong plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Retail Trainer, preferably within the jewellery, luxury goods, or high-end lifestyle sector.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, gemstone parameters, pricing structures, and luxury retail operations.
• Communication & Delivery: Excellent presentation, storytelling, and interpersonal skills; fluent in English and regional languages.
• Travel: Willingness to travel across regional store locations as required.
