Turner / Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Turner and Fitter to join our dynamic team within the mechanical and industrial engineering sector.

Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the production of high-quality mechanical parts and assemblies used in various industrial applications.

You will work closely with engineers and other technical staff to interpret blueprints, set up equipment, and carry out maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools to manufacture precision components.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications accurately.

Fit and assemble mechanical parts, ensuring proper alignment and operation of assemblies.

Perform routine inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.

Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.

Carry out preventive maintenance and basic repairs on machinery to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Turner and Fitter or similar role within mechanical or industrial engineering.

Proficient in operating various machine tools including lathes, milling, and grinding machines.

Strong understanding of machining techniques and mechanical assembly processes.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
