JOB VACANCY – NORTH INDIAN COOK

Position: North Indian Cook / Chef

Job Type: Full-Time

Medha Resort is looking for an experienced North Indian Cook who can prepare tasty, hygienic, and consistently high-quality food for resort guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of North Indian dishes.
• Expertly prepare Paneer dishes, Dal, Chole, Rajma, Mixed Veg, Aloo dishes and other vegetarian items.
• Prepare popular chicken and mutton dishes, including different types of curries.
• Prepare Tandoori and Indian breads such as Roti, Tandoori Roti, Naan, Butter Naan and Paratha.
• Prepare Rice, Pulao and Biryani items.
• Handle breakfast, lunch and dinner preparation according to the resort menu.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
• Properly store vegetables, meat, spices and other ingredients.
• Minimize food wastage and use kitchen materials efficiently.
• Coordinate with resort management and other kitchen staff.
• Handle guest orders efficiently during busy periods.
• Assist in menu planning and suggest new North Indian dishes when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a North Indian Cook/Chef in a hotel, resort or restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of North Indian cooking and gravies.
• Ability to independently manage food preparation when required.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food handling.
• Must be punctual, disciplined and responsible.
• Should be able to maintain consistent taste even when preparing food in larger quantities.
• Candidates from West Bengal or other states are welcome to apply.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience and cooking skills.

Food/Accommodation: As per Medha Resort policy.

Joining: Immediate candidates preferred.

Selection Process

Candidates may be required to complete a practical cooking trial before final selection.
