Shree Shyam Hotels is looking for passionate, hardworking and disciplined Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team in Mussoorie.

👤 ELIGIBILITYWe are looking for candidates who have:

✅ Minimum 12th Pass / Hotel Management qualification preferred

✅ Basic knowledge of professional hotel kitchen operations

✅ Knowledge or experience in at least one of the required sections

✅ Basic English communication is preferred

✅ Good hygiene and grooming

✅ Ability to follow recipes, instructions and kitchen SOPs

✅ Ability to work under pressure during busy operations

✅ Team-oriented and disciplined approach

✅ Previous hotel/restaurant experience will be an advantage

🍽️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Assist in daily kitchen operations

• Prepare food according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines

• Work in assigned section — Chinese, Continental, Indian Curry or Tandoor

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and portion control

• Assist Senior Chefs in food preparation and service

• Ensure proper mise en place before service

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area

• Follow food safety and kitchen hygiene standards

• Maintain proper storage and handling of ingredients

• Follow FIFO and minimise food wastage

• Monitor kitchen stock and report shortages

• Maintain kitchen equipment properly

• Follow daily cleaning and closing procedures

• Coordinate with other kitchen and F&B team members

• Maintain discipline and professional behaviour at all times

🔥 SECTION-WISE REQUIREMENT

Chinese Commis

Knowledge of Chinese starters, noodles, rice, sauces, gravies and basic wok preparations.

Continental Commis

Knowledge of basic Continental preparations, sauces, pasta, sandwiches, salads, soups and breakfast items.

Indian Curry Commis

Knowledge of Indian gravies, curries, dals, rice preparations, breads and basic Indian cooking techniques.

Tandoor Commis

Knowledge of tandoor operations, naan, roti, kebabs, tikka and other tandoor preparations.
