Area Sales Manager – Job DescriptionPosition: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Experience: 2–5 years in Pharma/FMCG/Healthcare sales

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow sales in the assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, stockists, chemists, doctors, and retailers.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets.
• Plan and execute territory-wise sales strategies.
• Monitor product availability and secondary sales.
• Identify new business opportunities and appoint new distributors/stockists.
• Conduct regular market visits and collect market feedback.
• Guide and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and product movement.
• Ensure proper product promotion and visibility in the market.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports for management.
• Coordinate with the management team regarding sales, stock, payments, and market requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

• Graduate/MBA preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Good knowledge of the assigned territory and local market.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle a sales team.
• Target-oriented and willing to travel extensively.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.
