Manager

Key Responsibilities 

1.    Overall Accountability: Take complete responsibility for the day-to-day operations, discipline and proper functioning of the cold storage, ensuring all activities are carried out as per management instructions.

2.    Stock & Security: Ensure proper safeguarding of customers’ commodities and prevent theft, pilferage, shortage, damage, misplacement or unauthorized movement of goods; immediately report any incident or discrepancy to management.

3.    Records & Accounts: Maintain accurate online and offline records of party-wise stock, inward, outward, rent, payments, outstanding, weighbridge and other operational activities, with regular reconciliation between physical and digital records.

4.    Staff & Labour Management: Supervise and coordinate security guards, labour contractors, machine-room staff and other employees, ensuring proper attendance, discipline, performance and smooth day-to-day operations.

5.    Customer Relations: Maintain healthy and professional relationships with all valued customers and effectively coordinate their storage, inward, outward, weighing, delivery and other requirements.

6.    Management Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with management and immediately escalate any issue related to stock, security, customers, staff, machinery, finances or operations.

7.    Weighbridge & Operations: Ensure accurate weighing and documentation of all inward/outward movements and proper supervision of loading, unloading, shifting and storage of commodities.

8.    Machine & Maintenance Coordination: Supervise machine-room operations, ensure important refrigeration and temperature-related issues are promptly reported, and coordinate with technicians and service providers when required.

9.    Computer, Excel & Accounts Skills: Possess basic accounting knowledge and good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Excel for maintaining records, calculations, reports and routine operational data.

10. Customer Acquisition & Marketing: Actively contribute towards bringing new customers and increasing business, develop good relationships with traders and potential customers, promote the cold storage and its services locally, and represent the company professionally in the market.

11. On-Site Residence & Availability: Reside at the cold storage premises; accommodation will be provided and the manager may stay with family, with availability required for genuine operational emergencies and critical situations.
