BILLING ENGINEER

The Civil Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and submitting running account (RA) bills and final bills for civil construction projects. The role involves quantity estimation, measurement verification, BOQ analysis, maintenance of billing records, and coordination with site engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely billing.

1. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesPrepare RA bills, final bills, and client bills based on actual work executed at the site.
2. Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB), billing registers, and item-wise quantity statements.
3. Calculate quantities for civil works, including earthwork, excavation, concrete, reinforcement, masonry, and structural works.
4. Verify executed quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, contract agreements, and site measurements.
5. Prepare item-wise, schedule-wise, and bill-wise quantity statements and reconciliation reports.
6. Monitor bill submissions, certification, payment status, outstanding amounts, and deductions.
7. Prepare extra-item statements, deviation statements, rate analysis, and variation claims wherever applicable.
8. Maintain records of advances, recoveries, retention money, security deposits, GST, TDS, and other contractual deductions.
9. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, clients, and accounts teams for billing approvals and clarifications.
10. Ensure compliance with contractual terms, technical specifications, measurement procedures, and applicable billing requirements.
11. Prepare and maintain billing reports, MIS statements, and project-wise payment tracking sheets using MS Excel.
12. Assist in the preparation and submission of final bills, supporting documents, and settlement statements.

• Required QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant experience in civil construction billing, quantity surveying, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of RA bills, Measurement Books, BOQ, rate analysis, and final billing procedures.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of civil quantity calculation and estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing documentation.
• Ability to read civil drawings and interpret BOQ items.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, measurement procedures, and billing reconciliation.
