Injection Moulding Machine Operator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Machine Operator to manage machine setup, programming, mold loading and daily production. The candidate should be able to operate machines independently, troubleshoot process issues and supervise production workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and program injection molding machines according to product and mold requirements.
• Set and adjust temperature, pressure, injection speed, cooling time and other process parameters.
• Load, unload, mount and secure molds safely.
• Conduct trial runs and adjust settings to achieve consistent production quality.
• Monitor production and troubleshoot defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks and warpage.
• Supervise operators and helpers, allocate work and monitor shift performance.
• Coordinate material preparation and availability for production.
• Carry out routine machine checks and coordinate maintenance when required.
• Maintain production, rejection and shift handover records.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.

Required Experience and Skills

• Relevant hands-on experience operating injection molding machines independently.
• Practical knowledge of machine programming, parameter setting and process troubleshooting.
• Experience in mold loading, unloading and changeovers.
• Ability to identify molding defects and take corrective action.
• Experience supervising production workers.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts.
• A responsible approach to safety, quality and production targets.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITI, diploma or relevant technical qualification in plastics processing, mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
