Field Technician

Key Responsibilities:1. Perform FTTH installations, including fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and ONT/router setup.

2. Conduct site surveys and assess installation requirements.

3. Run and secure fiber optic cables both indoors and outdoors (aerial and underground).

4. Configure customer equipment such as routers, modems, ONTs, and Wi-Fi systems.

5. Use testing tools (e.g., OTDR, power meter) to verify signal integrity and connection quality.

6. Diagnose and repair fiber-related issues, both remotely and on-site.

7. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.

8. Ensure work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations.

9. Communicate clearly with customers regarding services, usage, and troubleshooting.

10. Work collaboratively with network engineers and support teams.

Requirements:l Proven experience as a fiber optic or broadband technician (preferably FTTH).

• Strong understanding of fiber optics, networking, and telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with FTTH technologies: GPON, EPON, ONT/OLT, splicing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
