Odoo Developer – Customization & Integrations

Job Summary

Spectra Compunet is looking for an experienced Odoo Developer with 3+ years of hands-on development experience to work closely with our existing Odoo implementation team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing client-specific customizations, custom modules, integrations, reports, workflows and enhancements across Odoo Enterprise and Community environments.

Key Responsibilities·      Develop and customize Odoo modules based on approved client requirements.

·      Extend standard Odoo modules using Python, ORM, XML and inheritance.

·      Develop custom workflows, business logic, validations, wizards and automation.

·      Create and modify Odoo views, menus, actions and QWeb reports.

·      Develop integrations with third-party applications using APIs.

·      Work on JavaScript/OWL-based frontend customizations where required.

·      Handle PostgreSQL-related troubleshooting, data migration and performance optimization.

·      Implement access rights, record rules and security controls.

·      Support UAT, bug fixing, deployment and production troubleshooting.

·      Manage source code using Git and deploy through Odoo.sh/staging environments.

·      Prepare basic technical documentation for developed customizations.

Required Skills·      Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development experience

·      Strong Python and Odoo ORM

·      Strong knowledge of XML, XPath and Odoo View Inheritance

·      Good knowledge of PostgreSQL

·      Experience in custom Odoo module development

·      Experience with QWeb reports

·      Knowledge of ACL, Access Rights and Record Rules

·      Working knowledge of JavaScript and OWL

·      Experience with REST/API integrations

·      Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

·      Experience with Git and version control

·      Working knowledge of Odoo.sh and Linux environments

·      Website / eCommerce

Experience with data migration, third-party integrations, version upgrades and complex manufacturing/inventory customizations will be an added advantage.

Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a hands-on developer who can independently understand an approved functional requirement and convert it into a reliable Odoo technical solution through:

Technical Analysis → Development → Unit Testing → UAT Support → Deployment

The candidate should write clean, maintainable and upgrade-conscious code and should avoid unnecessary modification of Odoo core source code.

QualificationB.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, IT or equivalent qualification.
