Quality Control Engineer (Water Treatment Manufacturing)

Core Role

Quality Control Engineer to ensure that water treatment products—such as, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, membranes, filters, dosing systems, and treatment plants—meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role focuses on inspection, testing, compliance, and continuous improvement across the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Incoming Material Inspection: Verify quality of raw materials (steel, membranes, chemicals, valves, electrical components) against specifications.
• Process Quality Control: Monitor manufacturing processes (fabrication, assembly, coating, welding, packaging) to ensure adherence to SOPs and ISO standards.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct performance tests on RO systems, softeners, ETP/STP units, and dosing equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain inspection reports, calibration records, and compliance certificates.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products meet BIS, ISO, WHO, and environmental safety standards.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate defects, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Supplier Quality Assurance: Audit vendors and ensure supplied components meet quality benchmarks.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives like Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and Kaizen for process optimization.

Qualifications & Skills

Requirement:-

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering

Experience: 3–8 years in quality assurance/control in manufacturing (preferably water treatment or industrial equipment)

Technical Skills: Knowledge of water treatment processes, QA tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA), ERP systems

Certifications: ISO 9001, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, ASQ certifications

Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving
