Quality Control And Pressman

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Control: Identify stitching defects, loose threads, stains, uneven hems, fitting issues, incorrect measurements, and other finishing imperfections.
• Ironing & Pressing: Professionally iron and steam garments according to the fabric type and garment construction, ensuring a premium, crease-free finish without damaging delicate fabrics.
• Garment Inspection: Check garments for construction quality, symmetry, embellishment finishing, seams, zippers, buttons, linings, and overall appearance.
• Defect Correction: Handle minor finishing corrections independently and coordinate with tailors or the production team for more substantial alterations.
• Final Approval: Ensure each piece meets the label’s quality standards before tagging, packing, and dispatch.
• Production Coordination: Coordinate with designers, tailors, and production staff to resolve quality issues and minimise rework.
• Fabric & Garment Knowledge: Understand different fabrics, garment construction techniques, and the appropriate handling and pressing methods for designer garments.
• Quality Standards: Maintain consistency in finishing across all pieces, including custom orders and collection garments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in garment finishing, quality control, tailoring, boutique operations, or a designer fashion studio.
• Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, stitching, and finishing techniques.
• Practical experience in ironing, steaming, and pressing garments professionally.
• Strong eye for detail and the ability to identify even minor defects.
• Understanding of premium and designer garment quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the final quality of every garment.
• Good coordination skills and the ability to work with tailors and production teams.

Preferred Candidate

We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience in the fashion or garment industry, understands how premium designer garments should look and feel, and takes pride in delivering flawless finishing.

Candidates with experience working in designer boutiques, couture studios, fashion houses, or premium garment manufacturing units will be preferred.
