Inventory Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to take full ownership of our fabric stock, from the moment goods arrive to the moment they are dispatched. You will make sure our records match the physical stock, orders go out accurately and on time, and the sales team always knows what is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming fabric and check quantity, quality, shade and design against purchase orders
• Maintain accurate stock records by fabric type, design, colour, width, GSM and roll or than length
• Organize the warehouse so every roll can be located and retrieved quickly
• Update stock availability daily for the sales team, so quotes and orders are always based on real inventory
• Coordinate with the dispatch team to pack, label and ship orders correctly, and keep LR and transporter records
• Track outgoing shipments, hold or release dispatches as instructed, and follow up with transporters on delays
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records
• Track fast-moving, slow-moving and dead stock, and report on reorder levels
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for restocking, and raise purchase requirements in time
• Handle returns, rejections, shortages and damaged goods, and keep proper documentation
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory, stock-ageing and dispatch reports for management
• Keep invoices, challans, e-way bills and delivery records organized

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
• Understanding of fabric types, measurements (meters, rolls, thans) and quality checks
• Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Tally, Busy or similar inventory software is a plus
• Familiarity with GST invoicing, challans, e-way bills and LR documentation
• Good communication in Hindi and English
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage and guide warehouse and dispatch staff

Good to Have

• Experience in textile, garment or wholesale trading
• Experience with barcode or QR-based stock tracking
• Knowledge of Shopify inventory sync or order management tools
