About MandiGate and MandiKart MandiGate is a startup driven by a young team of professionals. MandiKart is its new B2C initiative, offering interns an opportunity to participate actively in building the business. The internship provides intensive, practical learning for students who are enthusiastic and ready to work on the ground.

Objective Build consumer awareness, attract new customers to MandiKart, and encourage repeat purchases through digital and direct marketing initiatives.

A Key Responsibilities

•    Digital marketing and consumer communication: Reach residents near cart locations, including housing societies, high rise apartments, and neighbourhoods.

•    Run location targeted Google and Meta advertising; promote MandiKart through Instagram and Facebook; use WhatsApp Business for consent based promotions and repeat purchase communication.

•   Develop simple promotional messages and creatives; track enquiries and responses.

•    Direct marketing and consumer activation: Approach consumers at nearby fruit and vegetable markets and people passing MandiKart; explain the concept, product range, and value proposition.

•    Obtain housing society permission before on campus promotions; organise awareness campaigns; collect feedback and encourage trial and repeat purchases.

•    Reporting and consumer insights: Maintain daily Excel activity reports; record contacts, enquiries, and first purchases; track campaigns and feedback on quality, price, assortment, and convenience.

Education : Final year MBA; Marketing preferred

Communication: Excellent spoken Hindi; fluency

Consumer interaction: Confident and proactive; no hesitation in approaching strangers

Attitude: Sincere, serious, enthusiastic, and willing to work in the field

Digital skills: Working knowledge of Google

Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Excel

Learning ability : Willingness to learn and execute new marketing initiatives

Selection emphasis: Practical communication ability and willingness to engage consumers should carry greater weight than academic scores alone. Digital skills can be developed through initial training.

Both interns should be capable of fieldwork and maintain Excel reports. This approach allows MandiKart to test acquisition methods before scaling to 50 carts.
