About the company

GT Magnetics designs and manufactures transformers, toroids, line filters and inductors for leading appliance, electrical and electronics brands in India. We operate three plants in Noida with a team of around 300 people and are investing heavily in automation on our winding floor. The floor you will run has 20 winding stations: 18 CNC winding machines and 2 multi-spindle winder lines, with 10 to 14 operators across five zones, supported by a maintenance engineer, a programmer, quality inspectors and stores.

About the role

You will own the daily output of the winding floor: the right job on the right machine on time, no machine stopped for want of material, every count and handover written down, and problems escalated the same hour. The floor runs 08:30 to 05:30 with overlapping operator shifts; you open the floor at 08:30 and run it until 19:00, and a senior operator runs the night. The floor already has a small documented paper system (machine loading schedule, daily material count, lot cards, zone coverage plan, machine logs) - you will run GT MAGNETICS PVT. LTD. HUMAN RESOURCES SEPTEMBER 2026 this system and keep it honest, not invent paperwork. You report directly to the Director.

What you will do

• Track machine-wise production and rejection every day; open a batch record with every new work order and close every batch with full reconciliation (OK + rejection + rework = quantity issued).
• Plan operator shifts and machine allocation a day in advance so every running machine has an operator every hour; manage overlapping shifts and written handovers.
• Track material shortages with the stores team (a dedicated material handler does the procurement) so no machine ever stops for want of material.
•  Coordinate daily with the machine programmer and maintenance so machines run smoothly; enforce hourly in-process checks and stop rules; escalate breakdowns immediately with every stoppage reason recorded.
• Own every changeover: program and tooling ready in advance, first-piece approval from quality, changeover time from last piece to first good piece kept to the minimum.
•  No production counts before first-piece approval; act on daily inspection results and raise repeating defects to the programmer or maintenance.
• Manage the workforce day to day: attendance, leave, discipline and on-the-job training; multi-skill operators so every machine group has backup.
• Send management a short end-of-day production report: output against plan, batches running late, machines waiting, decisions needed.
• Keep production documentation complete and honest: logs, batch records and registers filled, signed and submitted the same day.
•  Bring changeover time, unplanned stoppages and rejection percentage down month on month.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years in production at a coil winding, transformer, magnetics, motor, wire harness or similar component manufacturer, with experience leading operators on the floor.
•  Has run CNC or automatic winding machines, or can learn them fast; can read a winding specification / DCN and a production schedule.
•  Strict about written records; comfortable with a paper-first floor plus basic Excel.
• Hindi fluency and working English (floor documents are in simple English).
•  Hands-on, on-the-floor working style; calm and fast during breakdowns; firm but fair with a young workforce.
•  Lives in or can relocate to Noida / nearby NCR; the shift is 08:30 to 19:00, six days a week.
