Sales Engineer

We are looking for an experienced sales executive / sales engineer with hands-on experience in the industrial automation industry. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customers, understanding technical requirements, preparing quotations, generating leads, and achieving sales targets.

• Key Responsibilities Develop new customers and business opportunities in the industrial automation industry.
• Generate leads through cold calling, references, networking, online platforms, and market visits.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with the engineering team for suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial quotations to customers.
• Follow up on quotations, negotiations, and commercial discussions until order closure.
• Handle price negotiation and commercial negotiation with customers.
• Identify new projects and automation requirements in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, pharma, FMCG, packaging, process industries, etc.
• Conduct customer visits and meetings to understand project requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Purchase, Production, and Project teams for order execution.
• Prepare sales reports, enquiry status, quotation status, and order pipeline.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Track market trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
• Maintain regular follow-up with customers for repeat business and new projects.
• Ensure timely payment follow-up in coordination with the Accounts team.

Mandatory Experience: Candidates MUST have prior sales experience in the Industrial Automation / Factory Automation / Industrial Electrical & Control / Engineering Automation industry.

Candidates with experience in selling or dealing with products/solutions such as:

• VFD / Drives
• Servo Systems
• Control Panels
• MCC / PCC Panels
• Industrial Control Systems
• Robotics & Automation
• Industrial Electrical Components
• Machine Automation
• Factory Automation Solutions

• Required Skills: Strong B2B sales and business development skills.
• Good technical understanding of industrial automation solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand customer technical requirements.
• Strong follow-up and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to generate leads and convert enquiries into orders.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
• Target-orientated and result-focused approach.

QualificationDiploma / B.Tech / B.E. – Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechanical or related field.

Candidates with a non-technical degree may also be considered if they have strong relevant experience in industrial automation sales.
