Electrical Consultant – On Assignment Basis

Job Description:

Bunty Group is looking for an experienced Electrical Consultant on an assignment basis to inspect and monitor electrical work at our construction site in Dapodi, Pune.

The consultant will be responsible for independently checking whether all electrical work being executed at the construction site is technically correct, as per approved drawings/specifications, safety standards and required quality standards, and ensuring that any defects or incorrect work are identified and rectified by the contractor/team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical work at the construction site at assigned intervals.
• Check whether electrical installations and execution are being done correctly as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect electrical wiring, conduits, DBs, panels, cables, earthing, lighting, power points and other electrical installations.
• Verify proper cable sizes, routing, termination and installation quality.
• Check electrical shafts, cable trays, conduits and service provisions.
• Check earthing and electrical safety arrangements.
• Identify defective, unsafe or incorrect electrical work and clearly communicate the required corrections.
• Coordinate with the site engineer, electrical contractor and construction team for rectification.
• Re-inspect corrected work and confirm whether the issue has been properly resolved.
• Check material quality and specifications wherever required.
• Review electrical work against BOQ, drawings and project requirements, wherever applicable.
• Identify potential electrical safety risks at the construction site.
• Ensure electrical work is completed according to applicable standards and good engineering practices.
• Provide an inspection report after each assigned visit.
• Highlight major issues, pending corrections and areas requiring immediate attention.
• Advise the management/site team on electrical-related technical matters.
• Support final inspection and snag-list verification before handover, wherever assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in electrical construction/site execution.
• Strong experience in building construction / real estate projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical installations in residential/commercial buildings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and layouts.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety, earthing, wiring, panels, DBs, cables and related installations.
• Ability to identify technical mistakes and suggest practical corrective measures.
• Should be capable of independently inspecting a site and preparing an inspection report.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Should be able to deal with electrical contractors and site teams professionally.
• Experience as an independent Electrical Consultant will be an advantage.

Important Requirement:

This is not a regular full-time site execution position. The consultant will be engaged as and when electrical inspection/technical work is assigned.

The selected person should be able to:

1. Visit the construction site.
2. Inspect the electrical work thoroughly.
3. Identify mistakes, defects and safety issues.
4. Explain the required corrections to the contractor/site team.
5. Verify that corrections have been completed properly.
6. Submit an inspection/status report to management.
