Job DescriptionAmeya Stays is looking for a responsible, hardworking and reliable housekeeping staff member to maintain our fully furnished studio apartments to hotel-level cleanliness and hygiene standards.

The selected candidate will be responsible for room cleaning, laundry, room preparation, guest assistance and basic day-to-day property support.

Key Responsibilities1. Room & Bathroom Cleaning

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, balconies and kitchen areas.
• Change bedsheets, pillow covers, towels and other linen.
• Clean floors, mirrors, glass surfaces, furniture and appliances.
• Deep-clean bathrooms, including toilets, showers, washbasins and fittings.
• Ensure every room is fresh, hygienic and ready before guest check-in.

2. Laundry & Linen Management

• Collect, sort and manage used bedsheets, towels and other linen.
• Pre-treat stains and heavily soiled laundry before washing.
• Operate washing machines and follow proper washing and drying procedures.
• Iron and neatly fold bedsheets, pillow covers and other linen.
• Maintain linen stock and report damaged or missing items.

3. Room Setup & Quality Checks

• Prepare rooms as per Ameya Stays' standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Arrange beds, towels, toiletries and guest amenities as per company standards.
• Check cleanliness, lights, AC, TV, Wi-Fi and other room facilities.
• Report any damage, malfunction or maintenance requirement immediately.
• Maintain cleaning checklists and update room-readiness status.

4. Guest Assistance & Room Service

• Assist guests with basic requests and housekeeping requirements.
• Provide room service and additional supplies when requested.
• Purchase essential items from nearby stores for guests or property requirements, when authorised.
• Communicate politely and professionally with guests.

5. Property Maintenance Support

• Coordinate with electricians, plumbers and other service providers when required.
• Assist with basic property upkeep during non-peak hours.
• Monitor cleaning supplies, toiletries and other consumables.
• Inform management when supplies need replenishment.
• Support other reasonable property-related tasks assigned by management.
• Candidate RequirementsPrevious experience in hotel housekeeping, serviced apartments, guest houses or similar properties preferred.
• Knowledge of bathroom cleaning, laundry and ironing preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning checklists and instructions.
• Basic smartphone and WhatsApp usage.
• Ability to communicate in Hindi or Marathi; basic English is an advantage.
• Honest, punctual, hardworking and attentive to cleanliness.
• Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as per duty roster.
