Pre-Project Engineer

Job Title: Pre-Project Engineer

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech, B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand customer requirements and prepare technical proposals for food processing and packaging machinery.
• Study RFQs, technical specifications, product details, and project requirements.
• Prepare techno-commercial quotations, machine specifications, and preliminary layouts.
• Coordinate with design, production, automation, and sales teams to finalise project requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOMs, utility requirements, and project scope documents.
• Develop presentations, technical documents, and customised solutions for customers.
• Review customer specifications and identify technical deviations or areas needing clarification.
• Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, meetings, and proposal follow-ups.
• Support the sales team during negotiations and project finalisation.
• Ensure timely submission of quotations and technical proposals.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, process and industrial machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machine specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD; SolidWorks knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documents and cost estimates.
