Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Ensure workers follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Monitor the use of safety helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, reflective jackets, and other required PPE.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular safety awareness sessions for workers and staff.
• Ensure proper safety arrangements for work at height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting activities, electrical work, and other high-risk activities.
• Inspect scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment, machinery, and other safety-related equipment.
• Ensure work permits are followed for activities such as hot work, height work, confined space, and electrical work.
• Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses, and accidents to the concerned management.
• Assist in accident/incident investigations and prepare necessary reports.
• Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, training records, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Conduct emergency preparedness checks and participate in mock drills.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe material storage at the site.
• Support implementation of the site's emergency response and fire safety procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve identified safety issues within the required timeline.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety requirements and company EHS policies.
