Mechanical Service Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the face of our company at client sites, responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our mechanical systems and machinery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional customer service skills to ensure maximum equipment uptime and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Deployment: Install, commission, and test new mechanical machinery at customer facilities according to technical blueprints and safety standards.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, safety checks, and system calibrations to prevent operational downtime.
• Emergency Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical failures (including hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural components) and execute rapid, effective repairs.
• Customer Training: Educate clients on proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and basic daily maintenance.
• Reporting & Tracking: Complete detailed service reports, log parts used, and maintain accurate records of all field service activities.
• Collaboration: Provide feedback to the design and engineering teams regarding recurring equipment issues or opportunities for product improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in field service, machinery maintenance, or a similar hands-on engineering role.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics. Proficiency with diagnostic software and precision measuring tools.
• Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure, strong verbal communication, and a customer-first mindset.
• Travel: Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
• Licence: Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
