Job Brief: Electric Vehicle (EV) Tempo Driver

Role Title: EV Tempo Driver (4-Wheeler Cargo)

Job Type: Full-time (Rotational Day Shifts / 6 Days a Week)

Department: Logistics & Distribution / Last-Mile Delivery

Reporting To: Fleet Supervisor / Hub Manager

Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable, disciplined EV Tempo Driver to handle intra-city cargo transportation and last-mile goods delivery. In this role, you will safely operate commercial electric cargo vehicles, manage daily charging cycles, secure payloads, and ensure timely drop-offs using smartphone-based delivery and GPS systems.

• Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Operation: Safely drive assigned light electric cargo vehicles across urban routes and local hubs while adhering to all traffic regulations.

• Range & Charging Management: Monitor battery levels (SoC) during runs, plug in vehicles for scheduled hub charging, or perform battery swaps to maintain route efficiency.

• Dispatch & Delivery: Assist with cargo loading/unloading, secure goods according to drop sequence, verify invoices/manifests, and collect digital Proof of Delivery (PoD/OTP).

• Pre-Trip Inspection: Perform daily checks of tyre pressure, lights, brakes, charging ports, and instrument cluster alerts; report maintenance issues promptly.

• Asset Care: Keep the vehicle clean, prevent overloading beyond permissible payload limits, and practice efficient regenerative driving.

• Requirements & Qualifications: Licensing: Valid Commercial Driving License appropriate for the vehicle class (3-Wheeler Transport or LMV-Commercial).

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving or goods delivery experience in city routes (prior EV handling preferred, but not mandatory).

• Tech Skills: Basic smartphone literacy to use GPS navigation, delivery scanner apps, and charger station locators.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle loading, unloading, and moving boxes/crates up to 20–25 kg.

• Documentation: Clean driving record, valid ID, and address verification.
