Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer at Siddhitech Stainless Company in Pune. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products, preparing detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks, and supporting research and development activities to drive product innovation. The role involves close collaboration with production, procurement, quality, and sales teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, products, and assemblies based on customer and project requirements.
• Prepare accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Review customer specifications, engineering standards, and technical drawings to develop practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Perform design calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and GD&T to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.
• Optimize designs to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product performance.
• Support research and development (R&D), prototype development, testing, validation, and continuous product improvement.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and provide technical support to production teams.
• Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and engineering change records.
• Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with engineering standards and company quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of machine design, sheet metal design, fabrication processes, welding, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, machining, and assembly.
• Experience in research and development (R&D) and product design is preferred.
• Experience in the stainless steel or fabrication industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
