We supply robust automation solutions tailored to the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, and cosmetic industries.

Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to oversee end-to-end procurement of engineering raw materials, bought-out electrical/mechanical components, standard hardware, and fabricated sub-assemblies. You will act as the key link between our R&D/Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure parts meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities1. Sourcing & Procurement Planning

• Review Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM), CAD drawings, and technical specs to identify procurement needs.
• Procure core machinery components: electric motors, pumps, PLC modules, pneumatic cylinders, sensors, sheet metal parts, precision machined components, and packaging materials.
• Identify, audit, and finalize reliable vendors for raw materials, standard bought-out items, and custom machining work.

2. Cost Management & Vendor Negotiation

• Float Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate competitive bids, and conduct technical-commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve company target savings without compromising quality.
• Monitor Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and implement Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects.

3. Supply Chain & Inventory Control

• Track Purchase Orders (POs) from issuance to shop-floor delivery, ensuring zero downtime on the assembly line.
• Coordinate with stores for Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing, material reconciliation, and return of defective goods.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to eliminate stock-outs while minimizing holding costs.

4. Supplier Quality & Relationship Management

• Develop alternate suppliers for critical components to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Partner with QA to handle supplier quality rejections, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations based on On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

Parameter Requirement - Education Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Mechatronics Engineering

Experience - min 1 years in technical procurement within SPM (Special Purpose Machinery), packaging, or industrial automation machinery

Technical Skills - Ability to read complex 2D/3D engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical BOMs Software Fluency Hands-on experience with MS Excel

Core Competencies - Strong commercial negotiation, vendor assessment, and cross-functional coordination
