Stock Boy

Job Summary: The Stock Boy is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing stock while ensuring the store or warehouse remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. The role supports efficient inventory management and smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:  Receive and unload incoming stock deliveries.  Verify received items against purchase orders or delivery notes.  Arrange and organize stock in designated storage areas.  Ensure shelves and display areas are adequately stocked.  Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to the supervisor.  Maintain accurate stock records and assist in stock audits.  Keep the stockroom clean, safe, and organized.  Label, tag, and rotate stock following FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.  Assist with packing, dispatching, and transferring stock between locations.  Follow company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:  Minimum 10th Pass or PUC (preferred).  Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or inventory handling is an advantage.  Basic knowledge of inventory management.  Ability to lift and move heavy items.  Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.

Skills Required:  Good organizational skills.  Attention to detail.  Team player with a positive attitude.  Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.  Time management and reliability.

Working Conditions:  Standing and walking for extended periods.  Lifting and moving stock as required.  Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if needed.
