Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Linux Server Administrator to manage, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot our company's Linux-based physical server infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring server stability, security, performance, data backup, and uninterrupted operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and administer Linux-based physical servers.
- Manage Linux operating systems, server services, users, permissions, and system configurations.
- Monitor server performance, CPU, RAM, disk usage, storage, and system logs.
- Troubleshoot server downtime, boot failures, hardware issues, and operating system errors.
- Manage server storage, RAID configuration, disk health, and hardware components.
- Perform regular data backups, restore operations, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Configure and maintain SSH access, firewalls, security updates, and server access controls.
- Manage network connectivity, IP configuration, DNS, TCP/IP, and LAN connectivity.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and ensure the server remains secure and reliable.
- Maintain server documentation, backup schedules, maintenance records, and troubleshooting reports.
- Respond promptly to server failures and minimize downtime.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, or Red Hat).
- Hands-on experience with Linux commands, terminal, SSH, and remote server management.
- Knowledge of server hardware, storage, RAID, and hardware diagnostics.
- Experience in troubleshooting server performance and system logs.
- Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and firewalls.
- Experience with backup, recovery, system updates, and server security.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve critical server issues independently.
Experience: 1 years of relevant Linux server administration experience preferred.
Preferred Candidate: Someone with practical experience managing physical Linux servers in a company environment.
