Automation Systems Engineer

The ELV & Gate Automation Installation Engineer is responsible for the independent execution, physical installation, integration, and final testing of automatic entrance systems and smart building low-voltage networks. This role requires technical precision in balancing mechanical assembly, electrical control wiring, and digital programming while maintaining clean site records and ensuring smooth project completion.

• Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Physical Installation & Hardware IntegrationSupervise and verify site readiness, ensuring civil contractors lay conduits properly before paving or flooring work occurs.
• Assemble, structurally mount, and wire motorized sliding/swing gates, automatic rolling shutters, boom barriers, turnstiles, and electronic bollards.
• Integrate mechanical barrier hardware with digital security access platforms, including biometric readers, RFID long-range scanners, keypads, and numeric locks.
• 2. Programming, Commissioning & Fine-TuningProgram automated system master controller settings, adjust slave synchronizations, calibrate speed settings, and set electronic limits.
• Wire and configure essential system protection features, including photoelectric safety beams, loop detectors, anti-crush sensors, and manual emergency overrides.
• Configure smart app interfaces, Wi-Fi/GSM modules, and remote keyfobs for client end-users.
• 3. Smart Building System OperationsManage full-site execution for linked automation systems including IP CCTV cameras, multi-flat intercom systems, video door phones, and digital access control nodes.
• Route, terminate, and test low-voltage structural network cabling including Cat5, Cat6, and multi-core control cables.
• 4. Site Reporting, Planning & Staff SupportDraft clear pre-installation check-sheets, site surveys, and structural wiring path blueprints.
• Submit highly disciplined daily site progress reports, measurement sheets, and inventory consumption logs to the office.
• Provide field-level training, safety guidelines, and technical explanations to on-site helper support staff.
• Deliver professional client handover training, detailing simple operations, physical safety precautions, and manual override procedures.

Qualifications & Candidate CriteriaMetricCriteria DetailsEducationBachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, OR ITI Certification (ITI Electrician / ITI Fitter).Experience2 to 5+ years of verified field experience in physical gate automation, automatic doors, or smart building ELV contracting.Technical CompetenciesDeep understanding of low-voltage electrical circuitry (under 50V AC / 120V DC), reading complex wiring schematics, and testing gear tooth alignment.Logistics & MobilityMust possess a personal two-wheeler (Bike) and a valid driving license. High flexibility to travel locally and outstation for projects.
