Lathe Machine Operator

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Operator for our tool room. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in operating conventional lathe machines and machining components with accuracy as per drawings and required dimensions.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate conventional lathe machines for machining and finishing of components.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and measurements.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling and other lathe operations.
• Set up jobs, select suitable tools and maintain proper cutting parameters.
• Check component dimensions using vernier caliper, micrometer and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform machining work for molds, dies, shafts, bushes and other tool-room components.
• Identify machining issues and make necessary adjustments during production.
• Maintain machines, tools and work area properly.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in the tool room.
• Complete jobs within the required quality and production timelines.
• Requirements5–6 years of relevant experience as a Lathe Operator.
• Strong hands-on experience with conventional lathe machines.
• Experience in tool room/mold-related machining will be preferred.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of machining processes and cutting tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
