Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Team Leader – Admissions & Counselling to manage our Vadodara counselling team.
The Team Leader will be responsible for managing counsellors, monitoring leads, improving conversions, achieving admission targets, and ensuring candidates receive professional and accurate career and course counselling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and motivate the team of Admission Counsellors.
- Allocate and monitor leads among team members.
- Track daily calls, follow-ups, counselling activities and admissions.
- Set and monitor individual and team admission targets.
- Personally handle important, high-potential or difficult leads whenever required.
- Support counsellors in converting inquiries into successful enrollments.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on pending and interested candidates.
- Ensure proper communication of course content, fees, training process, placement support and policies.
- Monitor CRM updates and ensure every lead is properly recorded and followed up.
- Conduct daily team meetings and review individual performance.
- Identify weak areas of counsellors and provide coaching/training.
- Maintain professional communication standards across calls, WhatsApp and face-to-face counselling.
- Handle candidate escalations professionally.
- Coordinate with Management, Training, Admin and Placement teams whenever required.
- Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly performance reports with management.
- Take ownership of the overall admission performance of the Vadodara branch.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in Sales, Education Counselling, Admissions, Business Development or Team Handling.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent communication and convincing abilities.
- Target-oriented and performance-driven approach.
- Ability to train, motivate and monitor a sales/counselling team.
- Good follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of CRM and lead-management systems.
- Ability to take responsibility for branch-level admission targets.
Team Leader / Senior Counsellor / Education Sales experience will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience: 2–5+ years in Sales/Counselling/Admissions, preferably with prior team-handling experience.
Candidates from Education, EdTech, Training Institutes, Coaching Institutes, Recruitment, Banking, Insurance or other target-driven sales environments may apply.
