Job Description
- Café Staff Roles & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: Welcome customers, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly service.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
- Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve coffee, tea, snacks, desserts, and other menu items according to café standards.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, card payments, billing, and receipts accurately.
- Table Service: Serve customers, clear tables, and maintain a clean and comfortable dining area.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Keep counters, tables, equipment, kitchen areas, and customer areas clean and hygienic.
- Stock Management: Check inventory, store supplies properly, and inform the supervisor when stock is low.
- Equipment Care: Use coffee machines, grinders, ovens, and other café equipment safely and correctly.
- Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen staff, baristas, servers, and managers to ensure smooth operations.
- Customer Complaints: Listen politely to customer concerns and resolve them or report them to the supervisor.
- Opening & Closing Duties: Help set up the café before opening and clean, organize, and secure the café after closing.
- Following Safety Rules: Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, and company policies.
