What You Will Do *

1. Lead the design, development, and integration of embedded software for aerospace systems using C and DO-178 B/C standards.

2. Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to software development teams.

Ability to decompose systems requirements to high level software requirements, low level design and code implementation.

3. Analyze, define, and develop clear, complete, and verifiable high-level and low-level software requirements.

4. Develop software architecture, detailed designs, and embedded software components using established software design principles.

5. Drive software requirements reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.

6. Mentor and coach engineers on software development best practices and engineering excellence.

7. Support estimation, planning, risk management, and technical problem-solving activities.

Develop and maintain application software for embedded and real-time systems.

8. Design and implement low-level device drivers for peripherals and communication interfaces.

Develop software for communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC 429 etc.

9. Perform debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis of complex software issues.

10. Conduct impact analysis and support corrective and preventive actions for field and customer issues.

11. Support problem report management, software configuration management and release activities.

12. Ensure compliance with aerospace software development processes and standards.

Support requirements traceability, and certification deliverables.

13. Participate in software lifecycle reviews and audits.

14. Collaborate with Systems, Verification, Hardware, Quality, and Program teams throughout development.

15. Participate in Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

16. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the software organization.

17. Set-up and troubleshoot environment for embedded products.

Qualifications You Must Have *

1. Minimum 4 years of Industry experience in safety critical domain (preferably aerospace domain), embedded Software development life cycle in accordance with DO-178 B/C processes.

2. Strong Embedded software development experience in safety critical domain (preferably aerospace domain) using C.

3. Knowledge of DO-178 B/C and certification processes.

4. Experience with requirements management, configuration management, problem report management tools.

5. Exposure to embedded systems and board bring-up activities.

6. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering /Electronics and communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Information Technology.
