Senior Consultant - System Management
Unix JDWe are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain enterpriselevel Linux environments ensuring system stability security and automation The ideal candidate will have expertise in Red Hat RHEL 8 9 Ubuntu and Rocky Linux along with handson experience in server hardening vulnerability management automation and system administration
Key Responsibilities
Linux OS Administration Manage and maintain Red Hat 8 9 Ubuntu and Rocky Linux systems ensuring optimal performance security and compliance
Server Hardening Security Implement and configure server hardening measures to enhance system security
Virtualization Cloud Management Experience with building and managing VMs through VMware and Azure cloud environments ensuring optimized resource utilization
Vulnerability Management Identify assess and remediate vulnerabilities on Linux servers ensuring compliance with security policies and reducing risk exposure
Automation Scripting Develop and manage automation scripts using Ansible for efficient system provisioning and configuration
Shell Scripting Write and optimize Shell scripts to automate routine tasks and system monitoring
Red Hat Satellite Server Management Deploy configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite Server for system patching provisioning and compliance
SFTP Server Management Administer and maintain SFTP servers ensuring secure file transfers and user access controls
Server Administration Availability Monitor and manage daily server operations performance and availability ensuring minimal downtime and quick issue resolution
Required Skills Qualifications
Strong expertise in Linux OS administration RHEL 8 9 Ubuntu Rocky Linux
Experience in server security hardening and compliance best practices
Handson experience with building and managing VMs in VMware and Azure cloud environments
Experience in vulnerability assessment and remediation on Linux servers
Proficiency in Ansible for automation and infrastructureascode practices
Experience in Shell scripting skills for task automation and troubleshooting
Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server for patch management and provisioning
Knowledge of SFTP server administration and secure file transfer best practices
Strong problemsolving skills system monitoring and performance tuning experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as RHCSA and RHCE are a plus
Experience with cloud platforms AWS Azure is advantageous
Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
