About the Role

As a Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) in our Digital Sales Experience domain, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and supporting enterprise-scale Pega applications. This role is primarily focused on Pega platform engineering, integrations, security and operational excellence, with some involvement in Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) to support outbound customer communications.

You will work across the full application lifecycle, delivering scalable and resilient solutions while ensuring adherence to Pega best practices and enterprise standards. Working within an Agile environment, you’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality customer and business outcomes.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior System Architect, you will

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications on Pega Platform.
• Build and support Pega components including Activities, Data Transforms, Data Pages, Report Definitions, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors and Data Flows.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, SMTP for Email, SMPP for SMS, Event streams and File-based interfaces.
• Configure and support secure access by implementing authentication, authorization, access groups, roles, privileges and application security controls.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to improve platform stability and performance.
• Support data movement and processing across enterprise applications, ensuring reliable system integration and operational efficiency.
• Configure and maintain outbound communications including email and SMS treatments, templates and schedules within the CDH ecosystem.
• Partner with business and delivery teams during testing, release activities and production deployments.
• Contribute to release planning, environment management and deployment activities across development, test and production environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership to support engineering capability growth.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 5-8+ years hands-on experience delivering solutions on Pega Platform.
• Strong expertise in Pega application development, platform engineering and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience developing and supporting Activities, Data Transforms, Data Pages, Report Definitions, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors and Data Flows.
• Proven experience implementing and supporting REST, Email, SMS, Events and File-based integrations.
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, access management and application security principles.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production environments, including performance tuning and issue resolution.
• Exposure to Pega Cloud environments and deployment processes across multiple environments.
• Working knowledge of Pega Customer Decision Hub, including Next-Best-Action Designer (NBAD), Actions, Treatments, Outbound Schedules, Engagement Policies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams and collaborating across business and technology functions.

Good to have skills:

• Experience with Pega SendGrid integrations and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SMS and digital messaging channels.
• Banking and Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale outbound communication campaigns.

Mandatory Certifications:

• Certified System Architect (CSA)
• Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
• Certified Pega Decisioning Consultant (CPDC)
