1 Sensitivity: LNT Construction Internal Use SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION Job Function Supply Chain Management (SCM) Role Lead - Buyer Reporting to: Workplace Classification Office SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role) The purpose of this job is to serve as a strategic leader in central supply chain department and subject matter expert in procuring products. Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, oversee end-to-end procurement cycles, and cultivate strong supplier relationships to drive cost optimization, process efficiency, and stringent regulatory compliance. Provide guidance and mentorship to young team members. This role also involves stakeholder management both internal & external. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Focus Area Procure cementitious materials. Execute end-to-end sourcing activities including identification of vendors, RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contracts. Work on Annual Sourcing plans and get into long-term contracts. Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and price trend analysis to support sourcing decisions. Coordinate with projects and stakeholders to ensure timely material availability and uninterrupted supply. Negotiate commercial terms and drive cost savings & value engineering. Monitor supplier performance and develop alternate sources to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and audit requirements. Build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders while resolving supply, quality, and commercial issues SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction ? Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or in related field. ? Masters in SCM / Materials Management (preferred) Language Skills ? English EXPERIENCE Years of Experience ? 10 - 15 years of Experience Nature of Experience ? Proven experience in partner development & Management, procurement and supply chain management. ? Experience in negotiating contracts and managing partner relationships. ? Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics in the relevant field. SECTION VI: TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLE SKILLS Technical Skills (if available) ? Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices. ? Proficiency in using vendor evaluation and performance monitoring tools and software. ? Familiarity with digital initiatives and their impact on procurement processes. ? Ability to analyze and interpret data using tools such as Power BI. ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis. ? Costing ?
