The Precast Design Engineer is responsible for the structural design, analysis, detailing coordination, and technical support of precast concrete elements for industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and data center projects. The role involves developing cost-effective and buildable precast solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant design codes, client specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis of precast concrete elements including:
  • Wall panels
  • Columns
  • Beams
  • Slabs
  • Staircases
  • Hollow core units
  • Architectural façade panels
• Design lifting, handling, transportation, and erection stages of precast members.
• Develop and review structural calculations in accordance with:
  • ACI 318
  • PCI Design Handbook
  • Eurocode
  • BS Standards
  • Local building codes
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, BIM teams, manufacturing, and site erection teams.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, sketches, and technical documentation.
• Review shop drawings and reinforcement detailing for precast elements.
• Optimize precast member sizes, connections, and reinforcement for cost and constructability.
• Design and review precast connections including:
  • Bolted connections
  • Welded connections
  • Grouted connections
  • Embedded plate connections
• Support production and construction teams with technical clarifications.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and value engineering workshops.
• Ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.

• 5-10 years of experience in structural and precast concrete design.
• Experience in industrial buildings, data centers, warehouses, or commercial developments.

Proven experience in precast connection design and erection engineering
