Primary Responsibilities

The Agentic AI Security Engineer I is an offshore vendorstaffed role that supports the companys agentic AI security program helping operate and monitor the AI security platform that enforces guardrails around AI prompts and model responses for Claude Cursor and other approved generative AI tools

Working under the guidance of the companys onshore senior engineers this role executes established triage and automation playbooks supports onboarding of new AI applications and users to the platform and builds handson experience with agentic security workflows through a formal handoff and escalation model with the onshore team

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate the companys AI security platform day to day following established procedures for routine s access requests and configuration changes

Triage firstlevel s from the AI security platform such as suspected prompt injection policy violations or unusual model output and escalate complex or ambiguous cases to the onshore senior engineers

Support onboarding of new AI applications teams and user groups to the platform following existing checklists and procedures under guidance from senior engineers

Assist in building and maintaining simple automation scripts in Python for vulnerability triage log review and reporting tasks

Help maintain security documentation and evidence artifacts produced by AI security workflows

Monitor deployed AI agents and platform dashboards for drift anomalies or degraded performance escalating findings as needed

Partner with security operations and engineering teams to document manual processes that may be suitable for future automation

Participate in daily handoff and standup meetings with the onshore team to report status escalate open items and align on priorities

Participate in team knowledgesharing sessions on agentic AI security contributing lessons learned from daily operations

Additional Qualifications

Required

2 years of experience in security engineering security operations IT or a related technical field

Basic proficiency in Python with the ability to read modify and troubleshoot existing scripts

Working familiarity with REST APIs and Git

Exposure to at least one major cloud provider AWS GCP or Azure

Familiarity with ticketing and security tooling ecosystems eg Jira Splunk sufficient to log and track findings

General awareness of prompt design and LLMbased tools eg Claude ChatGPT

Clear written communication skills and the discipline to follow documented procedures accurately

Preferred

Coursework internship or project experience involving AIML LLMs or security automation

Exposure to Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools including in a personal or academic context

Familiarity with basic AILLM security concepts such as prompt injection or jailbreaking

Interest in security automation platforms SOAR n8n Tines or similar

Prior experience supporting a distributed or offshore security operations model with formal handoff processes

Measures of Success

s and tickets triaged within agreed servicelevel targets with accurate escalation of complex or ambiguous cases

Consistent accurate documentation of triage decisions and rationale sufficient to support an audit trail

Reliable execution of daily handoff and standup routines with the onshore team with no missed escalations

Growing independent judgment on routine cases over the course of the engagement reducing reliance on senior escalation over time

Positive feedback from onshore senior engineers on responsiveness communication and adherence to established procedures
