What does a successful Project Management Expert do?
A successful Project Management Expert at Fiserv ensures predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of complex technology initiatives across multiple business units. You provide a holistic view of the project, align stakeholders around outcomes, and drive execution through strong governance, communication, and risk management. Your work helps Fiserv deliver with excellence, improve transparency, and advance strategic technology outcomes for our clients and teams.

 

What you will do:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects with high risk, broad scope, and cross-functional impact.
• Define project scope, governance, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and escalation paths to support successful execution.
• Create and maintain consolidated project schedules, communication plans, risk registers, issue logs, and change controls.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to align on expected outcomes, success criteria, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions proactively to leadership and stakeholders.
• Apply the Fiserv Infrastructure Delivery Lifecycle (IDLC) framework and established project management practices across all phases.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to drive accountability, resolve obstacles, and achieve project outcomes.
• Support large-scale change initiatives by translating business objectives into actionable delivery plans and measurable results.

 

What you will need to have:

• 12+ years of experience in technical project management, consulting, or related delivery roles supporting complex technology initiatives.
• 12 years of experience using project management methodologies, governance models, and project lifecycle frameworks.
• 12 years of experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and coordinating project dependencies.
• 12 years of experience using project management tools for scheduling, reporting, risk tracking, and issue management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• Experience in banking, financial services, or software industries.
• Experience leading large-scale change efforts with measurable business outcomes.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project delivery certification.
• Experience presenting project updates and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Experience applying structured change control, stakeholder engagement, and escalation management practice
