Role Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing Mutual Fund Fund Accounting activities with a key focus on NAV calculation, portfolio valuation, financial reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong expertise in domestic mutual fund accounting, process management, stakeholder handling, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Fund Accounting operations for Mutual Fund schemes.
• Review and validate daily/periodic NAV calculations and ensure accuracy within defined timelines.
• Monitor portfolio valuation, income accruals, corporate actions, expenses, and unit capital activities.
• Review cash, custody, security, and unit holder reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI, AMFI, and regulatory guidelines applicable to Mutual Funds.
• Coordinate with Fund Managers, Custodians, Trustees, Auditors, RTA, and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze and resolve NAV breaks, reconciliation exceptions, and accounting discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting activities.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and enhancement of operational controls.
• Prepare and review MIS, management reports, and operational dashboards.
• Lead audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Mentor and develop team members while ensuring service quality and process efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory).
• 4-7 years of experience in Fund Accounting with strong exposure to Domestic Mutual Fund NAV Calculation.
• Sound understanding of Mutual Fund regulations, valuation norms, and accounting principles.
• Experience in handling stakeholders and managing operational risk & controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple funds and work within stringent timelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Asset Management Company (AMC), Fund Accounting Service Provider, Custodian, or BFSI Operations environment.
• Exposure to audit, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of fund accounting platforms and automation initiatives will be preferred.
