Position: SAP GTS Consultant (Global Trade Services) – Support 

Experience: 4 to 6 Years 

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP GTS Consultant to provide application support, incident resolution, and continuous improvement for SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) processes. The consultant will work closely with business users, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure stable operations across international trade compliance, customs management, and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Production Support 

• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP GTS applications. 
• Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within SLAs. 
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues. 
• Monitor interfaces, background jobs, and application performance. 
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business activities. 

 

Functional Support 

• Support and troubleshoot: 

• • Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening 
  • Embargo Checks 
  • Legal Control 
  • Customs Management 
  • Preference Processing 
  • Risk Management 
  • Compliance Management 

• Analyze business requirements and implement configuration changes. 

• Perform impact assessment and solution recommendations. 

 

Integration Support 

• Support integration between: 
• SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA 
• SAP GTS 
• Middleware platforms (PI/PO/CPI) 
• Troubleshoot master data and transactional data replication. 
• Monitor IDocs, RFCs, qRFCs, and interface failures. 

 

 

Change Management 

• Participate in enhancements, minor projects, and release activities. 
• Prepare functional specifications and test scenarios. 
• Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments. 

 

Documentation 

• Create and maintain: 

• • Functional Specifications 
  • Configuration Documents 
  • SOPs 
  • Knowledge Base Articles 
  • Support Runbooks 

 

Required Skills:

SAP GTS Functional Expertise 

• Strong experience in SAP GTS support and configuration. 
• Knowledge of: 
  • Compliance Management 
  • Customs Management 
  • Preference Processing 
  • Risk Management 
  • SPL Screening 
  • Embargo Checking 
  • Legal Control 

 

SAP Integration Knowledge 

• ECC/S4HANA integration with GTS. 
• IDoc troubleshooting. 
• RFC/qRFC monitoring. 
• Understanding of PI/PO or CPI integrations. 

 

Support Skills 

• Incident Management 
• Problem Management 
• Change Management 
• ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing tools 
• SLA-driven support model 

 

 

Technical Knowledge 

• Good understanding of: 

• • SAP Tables and Data Analysis 
  • Batch Jobs Monitoring 
  • Authorization Concepts 
  • Transport Management 
  • Debugging support issues (functional perspective) with
  • Basic ABAP debugging is preferred 

 

Desired Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline. 

• SAP GTS Certification preferred. 

• Experience in global trade compliance and customs environments is a plus.

Preferred Experience 

• SAP GTS 10.x and/or SAP GTS for S/4HANA.

• AMS/Managed Services environment. 

• ITIL-based support processes.
