SMF Test engineer

• Strong working knowledge of 4G EPC and 5G Core Packet Core networks. • Hands-on system testing experience on one or more of the following products: o 5G Core: SMF o 4G EPC: PGW, SAEGW, SGW • Proven experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and validating packet core network functions in lab or production environments. • Working experience in Kubernetes-based containerized environments. • Strong understanding of end-to-end call flows, session establishment, mobility procedures, charging, policy control and subscriber management across LTE, NSA and SA networks. • Thorough understanding of 3GPP specifications covering: o 5G Core Architecture and Procedures (TS 23.501, TS 23.502) o EPC Architecture and Procedures (TS 23.401, TS 23.402) • Good understanding of the following protocols: o Protocols: PFCP, GTPv2-C, Diameter, SCTP, HTTP/2 and REST APIs • Experience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark/tcpdump and telecom test tools for network function validation. • Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot failures, and drive issues through resolution with R&D teams. • Strong focus on test automation from Day 1. • Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to improve quality and productivity
