The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As 3M Engineering GCC Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading and scaling a global engineering organization of engineers and technical professionals across multiple disciplines.
• Driving GCC strategy, operating model transformation, workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Delivering engineering programs, capital projects and manufacturing engineering support globally.
• Building strong partnerships with business leaders, manufacturing sites, and engineering stakeholders to align priorities and outcomes.
• Traveling globally to support engineering teams, business partners, project execution, and leadership engagements.

 

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of engineering, project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or capital project experience.
• 10+ years of leadership experience leading managers, technical leaders, or engineering organizations.
• Experience delivering multi-million-dollar engineering programs while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Experience working across global teams, cultures, and business environments. Comfortable to lead through ambiguity and focused on building teams through high engagement.

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree in engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience establishing or leading Global Capability Centers, shared service engineering organizations, or outsourced engineering models.
• Strong change management, organizational transformation, and operating model design experience.
• Executive presence with exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills.
• Demonstrated success driving engineering standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

 

Travel: May include up to 30%[domestic/international]

Work Location: Hebbal, Bangalore (Karnataka), Hybrid Mode
