The Data & Audience Platform organization is at the forefront of developing and maintaining frameworks, tools, and data products vital to WBD, including flagship streaming product HBO Max and non-streaming products such as Films Group, Sports, News and overall WBD eco-system. The mission of the Content Lifecycle Analytics team is to enable WBD to leverage the world’s most valuable content library and achieve market leading content-driven business success.​ We foster unified analytics and drive data-driven use cases by leveraging a robust multi-tenant platform and semantic layer. Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist II, you will support the Content Lifecycle Analytics team by building data science, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions for WBD’s non-streaming studio businesses. You will develop predictive models and advanced analytics capabilities that help stakeholders understand audience behavior, demand signals, business performance, and content value. In this role, you will partner with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and cross-functional business teams to deliver data products and actionable insights that support strategic planning, reporting, optimization, and long-term business growth.

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and data science solutions at scale.

  • Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model training, validation, and evaluation.

  • Build ML capabilities using recommendation systems, personalization, predictive modeling, NLP, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).

  • Develop end-to-end ML workflows including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques including regression, classification, time series forecasting, recommendation systems, NLP, and deep learning where appropriate.

  • Monitor model performance and contribute to continuous improvements.

  • Work closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Follow and promote data science best practices for model development, evaluation, and deployment.

  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and quality.

What to Bring:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in building data science models and machine learning solutions.

  • Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, probability, and data science fundamentals.

  • Hands-on experience in developing, and optimizing ML models in production environments.

  • Strong programming experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages.

  • Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, and Spark ML.

  • Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, including Regression & Classification Models, Time Series Forecasting, NLP, LLMs.

  • Familiarity with the ML lifecycle including feature engineering, model training, deployment, and monitoring.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for data visualization, dashboarding, and communicating insights to stakeholders.

  • Experience working on personalization, customer growth, advertising, content recommendation, or large-scale consumer platforms.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and distributed data processing frameworks is a plus.

  • Knowledge of modern AI/GenAI tools and frameworks.

  • Ability to translate research concepts into practical business solutions.
