Job Title IBM Mainframe Production Support Engineer zOS EngineerJob Summary
We are looking for an experienced IBM Mainframe Production Support Engineer with strong handson expertise in IBM zOS JCL COBOL CICS DB2 IMS TSOISPF SDSF and JES2JES3 The role will be responsible for maintaining stable mainframe production environments monitoring batch workloads troubleshooting application and system issues and ensuring timely resolution of critical production incidents
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills along with experience supporting 24x7 enterprise mainframe environments preferably within Banking and Financial Services
Key Responsibilities
Provide administration and production support for IBM zOS mainframe environments
Monitor and troubleshoot production workloads using JCL TSOISPF SDSF and JES2JES3
Analyze and resolve COBOL application failures JCL errors abends batchjob failures and production incidents
Support and troubleshoot CICS DB2 zOS IMS DB and IMS DC environments
Monitor batch schedules and resolve job failures using ControlM TWS or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools
Perform rootcause analysis and drive resolution of recurring production issues
Coordinate with application database infrastructure storage network and business teams during major incidents
Perform Incident Problem and Change Management activities in line with ITIL processes
Support filetransfer processes involving ConnectDirectNDM FTP and MQ Series
Assist with mainframe performance monitoring automation disaster recovery and businesscontinuity activities
Maintain operational documentation SOPs knownerror records and productionsupport procedures

Preferably 5 years of relevant IBM Mainframe zOS production support experience
Strong handson experience with JCL COBOL troubleshooting CICS DB2 IMS TSOISPF and SDSF
Experience supporting critical batch and online mainframe applications in production
Ability to analyze job abends JCL failures application errors performance issues and production incidents
Good understanding of ITILbased production support including major incident problem and changemanagement processes
Experience in Banking and Financial Services environments would be advantageous
