Job Summary
As an Operations Manager within Payments Processing Operations, you lead day-to-day clearing and servicing operations while ensuring consistent control, quality, and timeliness. You translate key metrics and risk drivers into clear priorities, coaching the team to meet line-of-business financial goals and service expectations. You partner globally with regional stakeholders to drive operational consistency, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver client deliverables with high timeliness and accuracy.
- Manage daily transaction processing, client service activities, and database/control routines.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture focused on measurable productivity and quality outcomes.
- Review processes and performance regularly to improve competency and performance ratings.
- Document procedures and ensure new processes are captured and maintained.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accountable execution and clear status reporting.
- Define department strategy and goals aligned to broader organizational direction.
- Partner with senior managers to assess technology, resource, and process needs.
- Identify process gaps and recommend practical, control-minded solutions.
- Develop a team that adapts quickly to dynamic organizational and operational change.
- Own performance management and talent review processes for the organization.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Bring 13+ years of experience within a financial institution.
- Demonstrate proven people leadership, including managing teams of 15+ employees.
- Apply strong working knowledge of international payment processing operations.
- Utilize expert knowledge of SWIFT, ISO standards, and international payment conventions and practices.
- Exhibit strong business acumen and commercial market awareness.
- Build effective relationships across functions, senior stakeholders, and global regional partners.
- Take ownership of issues with proactive problem-solving, appropriate escalation, and disciplined follow-through.

- Lead operations in a 24x5/7 or time-zone distributed service environment.
- Implement metric-driven operating rhythms and controls to improve productivity and quality.
- Drive change management across teams through clear communication and coaching.
- Manage budgeting, staffing models, and capacity planning in a high-volume operation.
- Coordinate cross-regional process standardization and control alignment.
- Strengthen stakeholder experience by handling complex client escalations with strong judgment.
- Champion risk awareness by embedding controls and operational discipline into daily execution
