Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Day-to-Day AccountingEnter purchase, sales, expense, receipt, payment, and journal entries in the accounting system.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documents.
- Verify bills, invoices, vouchers, and other financial documents before processing.
- Maintain proper filing of physical and digital accounting records.
- 2. Customer Billing & ReceivablesAssist in preparing customer invoices as per company requirements.
- Maintain customer outstanding and payment records.
- Update receipt entries against customer payments.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Erection, and Service teams for billing-related information.
- Support tracking of project-wise payment collections and outstanding balances.
- 3. Vendor & Payment ManagementRecord and verify vendor bills and purchase invoices.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and outstanding payment details.
- Assist in preparing payment schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account reconciliation.
- 4. Bank & Ledger ReconciliationRecord bank transactions regularly.
- Perform bank reconciliation.
- Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- Identify and report discrepancies to the Senior Accountant.
- 5. Project & Departmental AccountsMaintain project-wise accounting records and expenses.
- Assist in tracking order values, payments received, and pending balances.
- Support preparation of department-wise and project-wise reports.
- Coordinate with Erection, Service, Sales, and Procurement departments for financial documentation.
- 6. GST, TDS & Compliance SupportAssist in maintaining GST-related invoices and records.
- Support preparation of GST and TDS data.
- Ensure proper documentation for statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with the Senior Accountant and external consultants/auditors as required.
- 7. MIS & ReportingPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounts-related reports.
- Maintain accounts data in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Assist in preparing outstanding reports, expense reports, and payment reports.
- Provide accurate information to management whenever required.
