Job Description: Mechanical Technician – Battery Packs & FlexiPod

About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Technician with at least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in battery packs, electrical equipment, or industrial products. The role involves assembling battery packs and FlexiPod energy storage systems, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to production processes.

• Key Responsibilities: Assemble battery packs, FlexiPod systems, enclosures, brackets, and mechanical subassemblies.
• Perform drilling, tapping, fastening, fitting, and other basic mechanical fabrication tasks.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Install battery modules, busbars, cooling components, connectors, and mounting hardware as per specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments correctly.
• Perform mechanical inspections and ensure proper fitment, alignment, and torque tightening.
• Identify assembly defects, report issues, and support rework when required.
• Maintain production records, assembly checklists, and component traceability.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, ESD requirements where applicable, and 5S practices.
• Coordinate with electrical, testing, and production teams to meet daily production targets.
• Required Skills & Qualifications: ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, or a related trade; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is also preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience with tools such as torque wrenches, drills, rivet guns, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to understand mechanical drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
• Good attention to detail, quality, and workplace safety.
• Experience in battery pack assembly, EV manufacturing, ESS, or industrial equipment assembly will be an advantage.
