Board Game Specialist

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and passionate Board Game Café Specialist to join our team and become the face of our board game community.

The ideal candidate should genuinely enjoy board games, strategy games, party games, card games, and social gaming and love introducing new games to people.

You will be responsible for helping customers discover and enjoy board games, explaining rules, recommending games based on their interests, supporting café operations, and creating a welcoming community where customers want to return.

If you are someone who can sit down with a group of customers, confidently explain a game, make the experience fun, and get everyone involved — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Board Game ExperienceWelcome customers and introduce them to the Board Game Café.
• Understand customers' preferences and recommend suitable games based on age, group size, experience level, and interests.
• Learn and confidently explain the rules and gameplay of different board games.
• Demonstrate games and help customers get started quickly.
• Assist customers during gameplay and clarify rules whenever required.
• Encourage customers to explore new games and experiences.
• Ensure board games, cards, components, and accessories are properly maintained and stored.
• Check game components regularly and report missing or damaged pieces.
• Maintain an organized and attractive board game library.

Customer Experience & Community:

• Create a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive environment for customers.
• Interact with customers and build relationships with regular visitors.
• Encourage customers to participate in group games and community activities.
• Help first-time visitors feel comfortable and involved.
• Understand customer feedback and share suggestions with the management team.
• Help create a strong and active board game community.

Events & Activities:

• Assist in organizing board game tournaments, game nights, workshops, competitions, and community events.
• Conduct introductory sessions for popular and new games.
• Encourage customers to participate in upcoming events and activities.
• Help create new ideas to increase customer engagement and repeat visits.

Café Operations:

• Assist with basic café operations whenever required.
• Take customer orders and coordinate with the café/kitchen team.
• Ensure tables and gaming areas are clean and ready for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the board game area.
• Assist with billing, customer payments, and basic POS operations when required.
• Ensure food and beverages are served appropriately in gaming areas.
• Follow café hygiene, safety, and operational standards.

You don't need to know every game. What matters most is your ability and enthusiasm to learn new games and teach them to others.
