Research Analyst

  We are seeking a highly analytical and culturally plugged-in Political Researcher and Scriptwriter to drive the narrative for a dynamic digital media platform. This role sits at the intersection of political analysis, historical research, and digital storytelling. Your primary objective will be to act as the intellectual engine behind our content—tracking the daily pulse of Tamil Nadu and national politics, taking decisive stances on contentious issues, and translating complex socio-political dynamics into compelling YouTube scripts and high-impact social media campaigns.

Core Responsibilities

• Daily Media Monitoring: Read, digest, and analyze daily Tamil news publications, editorials, and political broadcasts to identify emerging trends, controversies, and public interest topics.
• Deep-Dive Research: Investigate complex state (Tamil Nadu) and national political issues, grounding current events in their proper historical, cultural, and socio-political context.
• Narrative Strategy & Positioning: Synthesize research to articulate clear, well-reasoned, and highly engaging positions on contentious and polarizing subjects.
• Video Scriptwriting: Convert detailed political research into factually sound, pacing-optimized, and captivating scripts tailored for YouTube video production.
• Social Media Generation: Draft crisp, hard-hitting social media posts designed to drive conversation, amplify video content, and react swiftly to real-time political developments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Political & Historical Acumen: Deep, demonstrable knowledge of modern Indian politics, with a specialized, nuanced understanding of Tamil Nadu’s political history, ideologies, and current socio-economic landscape.
• Linguistic Proficiency: Exceptional reading and writing skills in Tamil (native-level fluency mandatory) to accurately consume local media and craft authentic content, coupled with strong English communication skills.
• Content Creation Experience: Proven ability to write for the spoken word (scripts) and digital platforms, successfully balancing political depth with mass-audience engagement.
• Analytical Agility: The ability to rapidly analyze breaking news, extract the core narrative, formulate a defensible opinion, and deliver finished copy under tight publishing deadlines.
